Opportunities are provided at various times for pupils at certain stages to participate in some of the following activities: football, netball, hockey, badminton, cross country running, country dancing and cycling proficiency.

FOOTBALL

On Thursday 10th February our senior football team travelled to Toryglen Stadium at Hampden to take part in the Scottish Schools Football Association West Regional Finals. They played in two qualifying rounds to make this final and have been the first team in Argyll and Bute ever to get to this final stage. The other teams they played against all came from south of the river and had players who play for the junior teams of large national clubs.
For our boys from a little village to go on to play at national level deserves recognition. Although they did not make the final two to go forward to the national final, they played admirably against such skilful opposition and narrowly missed that coveted top spot, coming third overall.

We are justifiably proud of, not only this remarkable achievement, but also the level of sportsmanship they have displayed throughout the whole competition. They not only represented our school well, but have also been fantastic ambassadors for Argyll and Bute.
Congratulations to Mr Henry and the boys!

CROSS COUNTRY

Well done to our runners, Cameron Hendry-Giles and Rachael MacPhee who competed at Mugdock Country Park on Saturday 26th  February. They both ran very well, in much better conditions than last year and finished well within the top twenty. Cameron shaved a whole second off his previous time. Mrs Girling was proud of her team! The next cross country event takes place at Colgrain on Friday 18th March. Details will be available on our website.
